Hennes and Mauritz - Studio - essentials returns for ss26 with architectural tailoring and elevated essentials with a touch of athletic ease

H&M Studio Essentials – the range of sharp, stylish basics shaped by Studio’s distinctive DNA – returns for SS26. This season, classic wardrobe staples are reimagined through an unconventional lens: architectural tailoring, statement leather jackets, knitwear with offbeat twists, cropped boxy shirts and refined iterations of the “perfect tee” form the backbone of the range. Trends may shift, but Essentials’ elevated fundamentals are built to last. H&M Studio Essentials SS26 will be available online at hm.com from 5 February.

Created by the same in-house design team behind H&M Studio, this season’s Essentials draws on 90s minimalism and blends it with subtle athletic references. Proportions are explored and design conventions gently subverted. Highlights include a double-breasted wool blazer with stitched creases on wide sleeves and raw-edged seams, and a shrunken cashmere cardigan featuring a double placket and an additional shoulder layer. A piqué-inspired top appears in a sheer silk blend with a long row of mother-of-pearl buttons, while a transparent knitted pointelle top and skirt set plays with fluted hems and rolled edges. Spring’s freshness comes through in crisp cotton, washed canvas and silk jerseys, expressed in tonal whites with soft pops of faded yellow and powder pink that blend seamlessly into a refined greige palette.
