To celebrate the conclusion of the thrilling aquatic events at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, OMEGA House has hosted a special evening to honour all the athletes who competed in swimming and diving. The Monday event follows more than a week of historic competition and welcomed the swimming legend Michael Phelps, along with quadruple medal-winning OMEGA ambassador, Léon Marchand.

Other notable OMEGA sporting ambassadors in attendance included four gold medal winners from these Olympic Games. They were the swimmers Kaylee McKeown and Thomas Ceccon, and the sailors, Diego Botin and Florian Trittel.

OMEGA House is the Swiss brand’s exclusive home for the duration of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, at which OMEGA is fulfilling the role of Official Timekeeper. Seamaster Night was a particular highlight on the calendar, as it paid tribute to the athletes, as well as OMEGA’s illustrious history at the forefront of international competitive swimming and diving. The brand is responsible for developing some of the key technologies used in the pool, such as Touchpads and underwater lap counters, enabling the most precise and in-depth measurement of the sport.

Speaking to guests, OMEGA President and CEO, Raynald Aeschlimann, said, “OMEGA has a passion for swimming and diving that reaches beyond the Olympic Games and through to the most important championships and competitions. Thanks to that deep involvement, we’ve developed some very close relationships with our swimming ambassadors. Tonight is the perfect way to say congratulations and give them the space to celebrate Paris 2024 in style.”

Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian in history with 28 medals, was present on the night. He said, “At Paris 2024, it’s been amazing to watch these athletes accomplish their goals. Knowing what goes into it every single day, for me to be here, it’s been a dream come true. We have people coming from all over the world to celebrate the greatest athletic achievements, and for me, it’s fun to watch hard work pay off.”

French swimmer, Léon Marchand, who won four gold medals and one bronze during Paris 2024, while also setting four Olympic records, reflected on his time in Paris by saying, “There’s been a lot of favourite moments this week. It’s been like Christmas for me, getting my gifts every day. I was really opening my eyes and listening to everything, because I know I’ll remember this forever.”
