Conceived in 1975 by Gianni Bulgari as a n exclusive gift for the hundred most important clients of the historic Rue du Rhône 30 boutique, the Bvlgari Roma collection embodies Bvlgari’s singular dialogue between jew elry, watchmaking and fashion with unprecedented audacity. Reinterpreted by Gérald Genta in 1977 and renamed Bvlgari Bvlgari, this watch marked a new chapter in the house's history. Iconic, it embodies the essential duality of Bvlgari – the audacity of the Roman jeweler united with the precision of the Swiss watchmaker, infused with the culture, al lure and elegance that define the Maison.

The double signature engraved on the bezel evokes an ancient Roman coin and recalls Latin monumental inscriptions, inseparable from classical architecture.

Two Summer Dials in Mother-of-Pearl Marquetry

As one of the maison’s emblematic collections that celebrates the dolce vita and elegance of Italian summers, Bvlgari Bvlgari presents a mother-of-pearl marquetry dial in two luminous colorways – evanescent pink and mesmerising green.

Radiant by nature, these two new versions embody the rich cultural heritage that informs the Maison 's creations, testifying to its exceptional jewelry expertise. The precious dials, hand-crafted in pink and green mother -of -pearl, revisit the ancient Roman art of polychrome mosaic – once used to create the luxurious ornamental frescoes that graced the finest homes. Transposed to watch scale, this ancestral mastery transforms the 33 mm Bvlgari Bvlgari dial into a miniature work of art. Meticulously arranged one by one, approximately 400 tiny mother-of -pearl pieces form an iridescent fresco whose reflections play against the brilliance of twelve diamond indices punctuating the dial.

This creation comes in two distinct versions: the pink mother-of -pearl dial, set in a rose gold bezel; the green mother -of -pearl dial, set in a yellow gold bezel each illustrating perfect color harmony between the precious warmth of gold and the modern refinement of polished and brushed steel.
